The above chain marking set was bespoke made for an Oyster 885 with 200m of 14mm chain and a specific colour scheme the skipper had in mind. This required a 21-row guide plate with three sets of markers at each point in the chain. Chain markers for each position have been bagged separately and labelled clearly to ensure they all got to the correct position on the chain.

In this 3-colour per point configuration we can create a guide for up to 42 positions on a chain, so had he wanted to mark every 5 meters that wouldn't have been a problem.
