Chain dimensions form

We ask for the outer width and outer length of the chain link because it is easier for you to measure. You can submit either measurements or photos through the below form. If submitting photos if digital calipers please ensure the screen is visible.

Chain marking sequences


The below table gives recommended sequences for marking your chain with the final column showing number of colours you would need for that sequence.

The "A" for the Anchor (Red) should be placed about 1-2 meters from the anchor so when it is about to reach the boat you can position it correctly, clean it if necessary and slow down retrieval so as not to slam it up onto the boat.

The "STOP" in placed near the end of the chain so the markers come out of the windlass just before the chain locks tight (assuming you have it attached to the boat!)
