Choose from standard link vs. stud link chain markers
Standard (open link) chain links have a hole in the middle. On boats it will often be calibrated as DIN766 or ISO chain.
Stud link chain links have a bar across the centre of the link to add structural strength. It will be found on many larger boats, superyachts and commercial vessels.
