Custom guide plate...
The optional guide plate (bottom of page) is manufactured according to your specifications and can be placed on the deck or in an anchor locker as a permanent guide.
Choose from 12-colours of 12mm 1/2" chain markers which include

Chain marking sequences
The below table gives recommended sequences for marking your chain with the final column showing number of colours you would need for that sequence.
The "A" for the Anchor (Red) should be placed about 1-2 meters from the anchor so when it is about to reach the boat you can position it correctly, clean it if necessary and slow down retrieval so as not to slam it up onto the boat.
The "STOP" in placed near the end of the chain so the markers come out of the windlass just before the chain locks tight (assuming you have it attached to the boat!)

...once you have picked your martkers, add a guide plate to be placed by the windlass, at the helm or in the anchor locker as a reference when letting out the anchor chain.
As the guide will be manufactured to suit your exact requirements once you have ordered we will email you to confirm the dimensions / numbers you need and then send a visual to confirm we have understood your requirements.

Shipping Duties Taxes
Please note, we do NOT make money from shipping costs. We charge what we are charged and have no control over amount of duties and taxes charged.
UK
VAT - All prices displayed are inclusive of VAT and this is charged at the point of order as per the norm. Should you require a commercial VAT invoice you will need to contact us to provide your VAT number after your order have been paid.
Shipping - Shipping costs are added in at cart once the shipping address has been entered. All items are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 48 at the current rate, orders over £70 Free shipping.
EU & IRE
Taxes and duty - For orders under 150EUR all prices displayed are inclusive of taxes and this is charged at the point of order. We will declare and pay taxes through the EU IOSS. Our IOSS number is IM3720016951.
For orders over 150EUR there may be duties and taxes due at the country of delivery, depending upon local laws. You may be required to pay duties and administrative fees to have the consignment delivered.

Shipping Spain and Ireland - Shipping is charged at £20 as 50% of our orders are arbitrarily held or returned by customs and we will attempt to deliver them a second time.
US
Taxes and duties - All products are sold exworks, ex duties and taxes. From August 29th 2025 the US de minimus exemption ends which means ALL goods entering the US will be subject to applicable duties, taxes and fees. We believe you will be required to pay duties and any administrative fees to the US Postal Service before delivery is undertaken. Read here for more information ►
